Our Mission

Village Baptist Church exists to win people to Christ and develop them into active disciples, equipping them to serve as ministers in the church community and around the world, leading them to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a church where every believer is equipped and engaged in reaching people for Christ and serving in ministry—across the Bay Area and around the world.

Guided by the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19–20, we are committed to making evangelism and disciple-making central to the life of our church. We desire to reach people throughout the Bay Area and West Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ while developing believers who actively participate in the work of ministry.

We envision a church where every member discovers their gifts, finds a place to serve, and takes an active role in advancing the mission of Christ. We believe the church is not a place for spectators, but a community of disciples equipped and mobilized for ministry.

Our Affiliation

Village Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and shares the historic biblical convictions expressed in the Baptist Faith and Message.

Our affiliation connects us with other Baptist churches in cooperative efforts such as missions, evangelism, church planting, theological education, and ministry throughout the United States and around the world.

While we value our Baptist heritage and cooperative relationships, the Bible remains our ultimate authority for faith, doctrine, and practice.
